Indonesia will be the host OF SEA Games

Indonesia will be the host of 26th sea games which held in Palembang and Jakarta from November 11, 2011 - November 22, 2011. 542 gold medals will be grabbed by 11 countries through 44 kinds of sports.
http://ericktecno.com/information-sea-games-2011/ wrote on their website that Palembang, the capital city of South Sumatra will be the main host of the games by holding a total of 296 events, while the nation’s capital Jakarta will be the supporting co-host by staging 266 events. As the main host, Palembang will only hold 21 of 44 sports, the rest will be held by a co-host city. Palembang will host the opening and closing ceremonies.
Agung Laksono, the coordinating minister for people’s welfare, delivered the news this week that the SEA Games organizing committee (Inasoc) and the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs stated that the whole budget for this event is IDR 3.1 trillion (USD364 million). The main budget comes from national budgeting program (APBN) 2010 which spend 1 trillion. Including from the amendment of national budgeting program which spends 700 million, South Sumatra province budgeting program (APBD Sumsel) spends 111 million, and from the private sponsors spend 1.6 trillion.
“It’s the final decision, so we have to use the cash wisely,” said Djoko Pekik, the secretary of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs to aseanfootball.org.
The opening ceremony of this event is very spectacular. Game technology, animation, and lighting combined with the skills of dancers and singers conjured 3500 spectators at the Stadium of Earth Sriwijaya, Jakabaring, Palembang, South Sumatra. Millions of pairs of eyes that watched the opening ceremony of the glass screen were made captivated.
The opening ceremony this time was the grandest, more majestic than the opening of the SEA Games 1979, 1987, and 1997 in Jakarta. Naturally, because the costs that rains reached Rp150 billion, for three hours. if the budget allocated to alleviate our citizen, it will welfare our citizen’s life.
Behind from this mega event, there are some bad news. Musi Pos posted on their own website that Sumatra Selatan’s government (pemprof) was decreasing their education and health budget program. They added only 7% of their allocation budgeting from total 4.1 trillion of this year province budget for this two vital sectors. In other case the central government suggested that two program should be 20% from APBD.
Vice-chief of Sumatra Selatan government council (DPRD Sumsel) Ahmad Djauhari said the government deplored this condition due to the preparation of SEA Games which was held in Palembang, the capital city of Palembang.
In fact, there are 4 provinces holding all of the stages. There are Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, and South Sumatra. Every province need budget for every event their held. it is possible the APBD can be decreased like in Sumsel thai I wrote before.
Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo has called on the youth and sports minister to be careful about spending the budget of the 2011 SEA Games Palembang, South Sumatra. The presidential decision allowing the direct assignment for goods procurement and services must not be violate
